Oh Yes By Charles Bukowski

Oh Yes
Charles Bukowski

there are worse things than
being alone
but it often takes decades
to realize this
and most often
when you do
it's too late
and there's nothing worse
than
too late.

I never have been able to relate to people who can´t stand being alone. Ever since I remember I enjoy being with people, but somehow I enjoy it even more being alone.
With this poem I´m starting a short series of Charles Bukowski´s poems.

Whether it feels good or bad beeing alone, that depends - as with any poison - solely on the dose.

I guess you are right. (But with "being alone" I didn´t mean feeling lonely.)
