Things around me - Monday around 12 am

Things around me
Yesterday morning Michael Nobbs twittered about a challenge started by Suzanne Cabrera. I had planned to document one hour at work in the book bindery - with all the interesting machines and work and books there. Not feeling well, I stayed at home and then had to get my sick daughter from school too. So we were sitting at home at our dining table and when she started drawing, I drew some of the stuff on the table.
It was a challenge indeed, because I usually always first draw sketches with pencil and then start the details with ink. Here I drew with the ink right away, but I still like it.
In case you want to join in on the fun and document one hour this week in sketches, leave a comment at her blog with a link to your post!

By the way, don´t forget to check out their sites. Michael Nobbs and Suzanne Cabrera are great artists and I love their line work.

Portrait Party Contest

Rama Hughes of The Portrait Party has organized a Scavenger Hunt (A Portrait Party Contest) as the first contest went so well. I tried my best the last time but didn´t have enough portraits to win the contest.

This time there are a few more rules. The Contestants must complete a portrait swap with the following subjects:
I actually didn´t want to join the contest as December has been pretty busy and all of us sick too. But now during the holidays I did have some time. And when we were all at my mom´s place and I had just told my sister and brothers about the contest they all sat down with their pencils right away. I had 5 portraits in a few minutes!!!! I won´t win the contest this time either, but it is fun anyway.

EDM #54 - Something Round (Cheeseburger)

Somehow I missed last weeks EDM challenge. So I´m handing it in a little late. My first thought when I heard last weeks topic (Draw something round) was a Bagel. But immediately after that I had a cheeseburger in mind.

I really love and enjoy eating! ;) I had a filling Greek dinner tonight, so my cravings for a cheeseburger have stopped for a while.

EDM #106 - Something Tart or Sour

This is the current challenge EDM #106. I wanted to keep up with the group. Only two challenges (EDM #104 Salt and Pepper Shakers, EDM #105 Pair of Scissors) are missing from the list. I will catch up soon.
I have never tried an Etrog/Citron but it is supposed to be tart and sour. Someone told me Etrog jam tastes great. Has anybody of you tasted the fruit or the jam?
