A Letter For The Future (100 Ideas 2)

Of the first few tasks Mim and I agreed on doing, I kept postponing this one. I had an idea what I would like to do, but didn´t feel like starting it. But I did buy a nice red envelope and two beautiful sheets of paper with a watermark.
Today I finally wrote the letter. It was easy once I started writing.

3. Write a letter to yourself in the future.

I plan to open it on New Year´s Eve 2009. The content means a lot to me. Of course I had to blur the text. It is too personal to show it to everybody.

Red, Red, Red

After the last post I thought it would be fun to show you

my red skirt and my red pullover on the red sofa. Can
anybody see me? :)

Did I ever tell you that my favorite color is red?
While I am writting this I´m wearing a skirt in exactly the red shown in the pic and my pullover doesn´t look different either. I should actually take a pic of myself lying on the red sofa. I guess you wouldn´t see me.
Well maybe you would see my huuuuge belly. After each and every holiday I feel like 10 kilos heavier and I can´t see any food any more. At least I´ve got 9 days to recover from all the feasting. Then the next holiday starts with another 10 days in a row of eating.... errr ... celebrating.

We Have Moved Finally!

Most of my friends live too far away to pop over and I just have to show them the color of one of our rooms. I was sceptical at first to paint a complete room dark red, but I really do love it.
I took the pic yesterday - taking a 5 minutes break from assembling our furniture - and I was covered with fine dust, pale and dead tired from missing sleep. But still I like the pic.



All rooms are still stuffed with packing cases and I still have to assemble some furniture, but at least our beds and the sofa is set up. That´s all we need at the moment... a place to sleep.

About one year ago I wasn´t feeling too great. Somehow I had lost many of my friends in the past years (due to life changes) and then C. showed up. Right on time. :) It was wonderful meeting someone who just accepts me and I´m very grateful for having met her. She´s a good friend of mine now and today is her birthday. I wish her all the best and hopefully we´ll know each other for a long, long time. :)

My husband started a German literature blog last year. This Monday he´ll be posting about rain.
I love the rain. He hates it. I´m happy when it rains, he gets depressed.
